Providers are often unsure of the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and economical impacts that moving from in “the life” to survivorship contains. We will discuss a range of values, norms, behaviors, and expectations within the survivor community. This workshop will emphasize on trauma informed approaches and common challenges that survivors experience. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in interactive exercises that will enable them to approach interactions with survivors with an enhanced lens. In this workshop we will discuss screening methods and intake development for identifying survivors. We will take an in-depth look at relationship development, accompaniment, advocacy opportunities, holistic services,  partnership development, and empowerment. Attendees can expect to have a clear direction for providing services in a meaningful way to survivors that enhances their self-efficacy and stability.
